Short biography of John George Basteane AGER

John George Basteane AGER was born in Devon, Plymouth, England around 1807.

John was a clerk accountant.

All we know about his parents is his father’s name :  William AGER (according to the marriage certificate).

He died on May 2nd 1874.  At the time of his decease, the family was living at 5 Little Thames Street, Greenwich, London, England.

During his life, John got married twice.

The first time, married Naomi FRANCIS (daughter of William FRANCIS) on September 11th 1842 at All Souls, St Marylebone, London, England.  For the moment, I have not yet found John AGER in the 1851 British Census.  However, I know that Naomi was probably dead at that time because John had a child born on July 10th 1850 at Kent.

John George Basteane AGER and Rosina BLISS waited a little time before getting married in May 8th 1854 at All Souls, St Marylebone, London, England.

John & Rosina had at least six children :

-          John George AGER, born on July 10th 1850;

-           Rosina AGER, born around 1855;

-           William AGER, born around 1857;

-           Henry Gordon AGER, born around 1859;

-           Mary Ann AGER, born November 10th 1860 at Greenwich;

-           Amelia Elizabeth AGER, born February 12th 1864 at Greenwich.

John George B. AGER appeared in the 1861 and 1871 British Census with his family.

John George Basteane AGER died on May 2nd 1874 at Greenwich West, London, England.  I do not know where is his burial.
