Spring 2005, for a number of years I think to make a trip to Belgium, I always loved to travel but Europe always have been out of my buget reach. After recieving my yearly bonus and a cash back from my morgtage i found myself with a few thousand dollars and I didn't feel like putting all in a retirement fund.
On Bieropholie.com someone anounced that there was a price drop for tikets to Belgium. That was writen, my litle pot of gold wouln't have time to grow old...
But a first trip to Europe need more preparation than a simple trip south to relax have a good time, you need to get information about what to see and what to drink... but the price cut on tickets was for a short time so I had less than a month before leaving to find all the required informations so I would not miss to much interesting places. Evidently it's not enough to be well prepare but it's enough to get a feeling of what you are getting into.
Armed with all that I left on may 17.
What follow is the transcription of my travel journal with some of the 700 photos I took (I must have japanese blood). Please note that, due to the great number of photos, they where heavily compressed to let me put them all on the free space given by Fortune city website. I found a certain lack of quality where colors are fading from one to an other like in the blue skies.
