Note to english readers: I have done the translation myself and english is my second
language only so please feel free to use the comment page to point any mistakes i had done. Also,
I choose to translate those pages as close to the original as i could so bilingual people won't
complain that the two version are not the same. You may find names and things that are irrelevant
or just inside jokes. So, please just go along.

My interests
Alcohol
I like to take a good drink with friends, I rarely take a glass alone. My preferences
goes to specialities beers and a good alcohol like scotch or cognac. I'm in favor of
"Drink beter, drink less"
For beers lovers like me, a table explaning date codes on beer bottles to know how old they
are.
I am also a homebrewer since a few years. I rarely brew and i'm still brewing using malt extracts
and finishing grains. I am slowly buying equipement to start brewing all gains.
Aviation
When I was youger I had done some skydiving and each time I was getting in the plane I was telling
myself that I woud be piloting one day. I'm not a pilot yet but I took the theorical course. I will
start to take the practical course as soon sa I have enough money.
- Aeroclub of Hydro Quebec employee My brother work
for Hydro Quebec and we took the theorical course together.
- KLS Compsite The style of plane that
I would like to build one day. The problem is that I don't have the money neither a place to
build it.
Reading
I'm the kind of guy who always have a book with him. I read in the subway, during my lunch hour,
even when I'm walking sometimes. I have to forbide myself to read at home or I would do notting
else.
I'm mostly read science fiction and fantasy. Here's some of my favorite authors:
- Douglas Adams Author of the triology in five volumes « The hitchiker guide to the
galaxy ». Science-fiction that do not take itself to seriously. So good that I read it
again every few years.
- Isaac Asimov Author of the serie « Fondation » and numerus others works that have
marked science fiction. Unavoidable, he can't be left aside.
- David Eddings Fantasy where the characters aren't all black or white like in J.R.R.
Tolkien. Another one that I re-read once in a while.
- J.R.R. Tolkien Probably the most known author in fantasy, the parution of the three
films of the serie "Lord of the rings" (I was at the LOTR marathon for the release of the last
film feturing all three films one after the other) will certanly bring him a new generation
of readers. After seing the films I have to start reading the triology one more time since my
last reading goes back at least ten years. I must advise potential readers that a lot of peoples
leave the books on the side after having read betwen 60 and a 100 pages. You must not forget
that this triology had been writtten during the first half of the last century and that it suffer
somes weak point: characters missing humanity, rarety of female characters and others points.
Even whit it's weak point it's still an unavoidable work that started a new style of litérature.
Music
I like almost any kind of music beside "dance" and opera. I'm mostly interested by Progressive
Rock, Folk and Jazz. Concerning Jazz I'm a member of Montreal's International Jazz Festival for
more than 15 years.
Sports
I'm not a great sportman but here are some websites related to sports that I practice or had
practiced in the past.
- Horizon Roc An interior climbing
gymnasium, there is even a virtual route.
- The "marathon des deux rives" in
Quebec city. I'm not in great forms but I've done the Montreal marathon in 1995 and the
Quebec city one in 2000. I quit before the end in Quebec city, after 26 kilometres, the
part in Quebec city is flat close to the river but the first part goes joyfully (exept
for runners) in Levis betwen the upper and lower part of town. I had trained all summer
on flat ground and I forfeited after the last hill.
- Skin Diver Online The most complete website
on scuba diving that i know.

History:
- 09-16-2001: Original version of the site made in answer to someone who said that it's
better to have a website with faulty links than notting.
The original version contained only the index page, all links going to a page in construction.
- 12-29-2003: Put on line the changing flags on index page. I have worked a long time on that,

research and try and error before it finally worked. Initial creation of frames and the
differents sections of the french index.
- 01-19-2004: Start of the french travel section.
- 12-01-2004: I lack of rigor in the history. Since last entry I added lots of pages in
