Sathursday october the 2nd, Yowie and me got in Berrbuz car to make a visit to Ottawa. The goal of this trip was to fillup on some degustation beers at LCBO and to visit the Pub Italia.

Yowie and BeerBuzz consulting the beer menu.

We met Claude Boivin (hidden behing his girlfriend) and his girlfriend who where going to a wedding. Nicolas Lescarbeau was with them.

Evidently, DumDum wouldn't miss an occasion like that to meet friends and take one(!) good beer.

Attention!!! The nachos are very apetising to the eye but don't forget that the pub has a shamrock with the italian flag coulors as logo. The mexican salsa is then remplaced by italian Bruschetta. When you expect something spicy, you risk to be suprised. The rest of the foud is very good, speacially the shrimp pizza that BeerBuzz and me tried.

The pub is divided in two parts and the choice of beers is not the same in both. The first part look like an irish pub and is specialysed in united kingdom beers.

The pass that goes to the abey section. No! it's not an optical illusion in the second picture, it's not wide and DumDum and me would have some problems to cross each other.

The beautyfull Abay section with it's cathedral ceiling, it's beams, woods and it'S church benchs give a sacred character to degustation made here.

BeerBuzz and Yowie in spiritual communion with the cisterians friars who brew for us such fine trapists ales.

It's quite nice to meditate, thinking about good beers but the gift store was going to close... A fast trip for the mercantile side of our trip... Eeee, wich glass is missing from my collection?

The verry sympatic owner got some Cantillons out of his cave for us, he haven't put them on the menu yet. He also offered us a 2003 christmas beer that was left in his invetory.

A car with Pub Italia logo, DumDum seems very interested in it.

Last look on the Pub Italia and its stained glass before the return to Montreal.
