Among
all the prestigious cars of the mad years, Pierce Arrow has a special
place.
In the American production
of that time, great names monopolized the market, even Rolls Royce
manufactured it's cars in Springfield USA and even Rolls Royce wasn't
as preserving as Pierce Arrow.
Indeed, the best exterior example
of it's conservatism are the headlights located inside the wings
which are the trade mark of the company for many years ( 1914 ?
). Technically not a revolution either, but a reassuring manufacturing
quality enough to seduce it's clientele as much as it's classic
line, well balance and slightly ostentatious, but that was the required
goal claimed by the fortunate customers of Pierce Arrow.
Our friend Alain's car shown
here is a 1929, 126 model Convertible Coupe and "rumble seat". It
is always a pleasure taking a ride in this old high-performance
touring car.
