Appartement de l'Église, Montréal, QuebecMontréal
Montréal's summer is famous for the countless festivals which bring even more life to the moving quarters of this Canadian metropolis: the Jazz Festival, the Just For Laughs and the fireworks competition are just a few examples of Montréal's festival calendar.
Montréal's night life is considered by many one of the best in North America. It is home to over 460 restaurants and cafés, and the bars and clubs stay open late, very late. Montréal's long history created a unique architectural paradise, unlike other Canadian or American City, the tourist can see in Montréal historical buildings and a modern skyline. Already in 1853, Colonol B.W.A. Sleigh wrote of Montreal that 'you cannot fancy you are in America; everything about it conveys the idea of a substantial, handsomely built European town, with modern improvements of half-English, half-French architecture'. A rainy day is no problem in Montréal! There are 20 kilometres of underground walkways with malls, restaurants, bars and even museums in this 'city under the city'. This system is a comfortable attraction for the pedestrian, especially in the cold winter. Our apartment De L'Église is located in the Verdun area, just five minutes from downtown with the convenient metro (underground). The closest metro station is just 100 meters away.
