Conclusion
Huguenots play an important role in the discovery and
colonization of America
The exclusion of the Huguenots from New-France play a
part in the lost of New-France
Even if they became Catholics we can ask if certain
characteristics of their culture survive in the next
generations.
Notes:
- We can conclude that the Huguenots play an important role
in the discovery and colonization of America.
- Their exclusion from New-France had an effect on the
number of settlers who came in New-France and therefore
contribute to the lost of New-France in 1760.
- Almost all the Huguenots became Catholics and we see that
some families will give Catholic Priests to the colony.
But we can ask if some of the values of the culture of
the Huguenots had not survived in certain families.
