jfind.com contains comprehensive directory of Java software.
Java Shareware contains a large collection of non-reviewed Java software.
jars.com contains a large collection of reviewed Java software.
Freeware Home contains, in my humble opinion, the best collection of freeware that run in a Windows environment.
Freeware 4U, a British web site that contains a good collection of freeware exclusively.
Simtel.net contains and host a large collection of legacy-to-latest software (freeware and shareware) that run in a Windows and, even, DOS environment.
NeverExpires contains freeware and shareware applications that are guaranteed not to be time-limited.
Freeware Pro contains, as its name implies, many freeware applications.
Some Great Freeware I Like and Use Often
These freeware have no Ads, no spyware and they are not trialware; they are pure, no-strings-attached freeware. This page is also an expression of my gratitude to the providers and creators of such great free software. I recommend them from my own experience. I am not a professional software critic but I simply express my personal opinion and gratitude.

Borland offers a free version of their powerful Java IDE. This is what I am using for developing my freeware Java application.

Sothink offers a freeware version of their HTML editor; the best I have seen. There is a small 5-sec.

The best and the most complete audio file converter and audio file player. I converted all my vinyl records, tapes and CD collection into MP3 files; all are in my hard disk. I can listen to my music while using my computer. I then threw-away my HiFi system.
WavSplit: http://claudiosoft.online.fr/
A very efficient, accurate and simple-to-use WAV-formatted audio file splitter. I used it to separate tracks or segments of music that I transferred from my tapes to my computer.
