Got a starting time at 7:20 at Hemmingford. Probably one of the last outings this year. Only got to play a dozen or so times this year, very sad. I tend to measure the quality of my life by 2 things. How often I get out and what I shoot. I guess getting married and buying a new home adds to quality of life as well so I can't complain this year. On top of that my wife is so cool that I played on my wedding day! That feat earned me 500 points in the Golf Nuts Society. On top of joining Golf Nuts I also became an active member of The Pit. It's like a stock exchange but for sports cards. You can track the value of your portfolio, buy and sell graded cards. If your into hockey or baseball cards in a serious way then this site is for you.

Got a little emotional, as I'm sure most of you have, watching the anniversary of 9/11 attacks. I came across a collection of items found at and relating to the recovery site. The crushed file cabinet was interesting. Check it out. Notice the link on the upper right to see more objects. I also received nice notes from Gail Tatebe and Steve Reagan. Thanks guys, it was nice hearing from you!

Well summer is winding down. Get ready. Tune up those snow blowers, find your mitts, put away your clubs...And I don't even own a decent pair of skates! I guess we still have a few weeks but winter's coming fast. If you want to get in a last minute hike here's my recommendation. Melocheville or Mount St. Bruno

Jacques Villeneuve says 50 million is not enough money.

Somebody needs to explain to these athletes (baseball players in particular) what planet they live on. How about taking a baseball bat stenciled with the words 'You Drive a Car' or 'You Throw a Ball Around' on it and smack them good and hard on the head.  Imagine the day a popular athlete organizes the troops. He gets his fellow players to sign a contract, not the usual contract that they all rip up when it suits them but a real one, a binding contract with society. One that states "We the players feel that our massive and undeserved incomes should be better used by society. We hereby assign 80% of our salaries to a fund to be used strictly to solve the issue of world hunger and food distribution." if only.....

August 26, 2002,

The idea for this site came about while surfing other blogs. I thought it'd be fun to throw one up for myself. I have plenty of experience both in web sites and in throwing up so it should go rather well. It's pretty cool when you get to put up some photos and tell all of your friends to check them out. It's not so cool when you have to let them know that your grandmother just passed away. For those of you at the wedding you would have seen for yourself how well she looked and how grateful we were that she could make the trip. You could imagine our profound sadness upon hearing the news. News made that much more difficult as I had to give it to my Mother. I won't go into too much detail other than to say the funeral was very tasteful, her strength and kindness remembered. She will be missed by all that new her.

I'll be putting words/thoughts up from time to time as well as links to some of the more interesting things on the web. Hope you check back once in a while.
