The Désilets belong to two groups: descendants of Antoine Desrosiers or descendants of Jacques Mousseaux. Antoine Desrosiers arrived in New France about 1645. Jacques Mousseaux arrived in 1653. The only way to find out which group you belong to is to identify your complete family line. Today, the Désilets belonging to the Antoine Desrosiers group are about ten times more numerous than those of the other group. For more information, see further below.
