All Latendresses of Canada and United States are descendants of Jean-Baptiste Chebroux dit Latendresse arrived in New France about 1757. For more information, see further below.

For many years, I have been gathering all the information I can get about the Latendresse family. I now have in my database, information on over 1,200 families (650 Latendresse husbands, 550 Latendresse wives). I am willing to share my data and provide information to the interested searchers. Many sites post databases using different methods. I find that searching most of the sites is difficult and not very efficient.
