High-Quality Spinning and Weaving Equipment For Serious Hobbyists And Professional Fiber Artists. We are located near Montreal and can offer hands-on experience with many of these finely crafted spinning and weaving tools. Majacraft spinning wheels from New Zealand feature double treadles for smooth and effortless treading and are beautifully designed and hand-crafted in Rimu wood. We have the Rose, Suzie and Gem 2 models available and enjoy many hours of spinning with them. Coming soon the new Alpaca wheel designed for spinning of fine fibers. Schacht wheels are made in the U.S. of hard maple with walnut detail and feature both double-band drive and scotch tension for a wide range of spinning. Available in single and double treadle. Schacht is also well known for their Baby Wolf loom which has 26" weaving width yet is compact and portable. A great loom for workshops and limited working space and available in 4 or 8 shafts. The Cherry limited edition is available to see and try out. Schacht offers a wide range of weaving accessories and my favorite is their light-weight shuttles, ideal for arthritic hands/wrists. New for Fall 2007 is the LadyBug wheel (only 12.5 lbs). See the Schacht website for details. Ashford of New Zealand are renowned for their affordable textile craft equipment. The popular Elizabeth wheel has recently been re-designed and now available. New portable Knitter's loom and felting punch with needles in stock. Ashford dyed Merino and Corriedale rovings for spinning and felting projects (minimum 1 kg order) can be ordered in up to 37 colors. Lovely selection of hand-dyed silk fibers available from Treenway Silks of B.C. For information about these product lines, parts and pricing please contact Delia.
