As promised, here is the latest review for Playboy's newest CD-ROM program.

As with all reviews, each program is judged on a scale of 1-5 (1 being a limp noodle) in three categories: Quality, Action/Interaction, and Erotic Content.

One more thing: It's rare that I give out an all-5 review. The only other all-5 review I gave went to a certain competitor's program (before they got into doing water works). So Playboy should take a bow for this one.

Playboy's Voluptuous Vixens Collector's Edition CD-ROM (Playboy Enterprises, Inc.)

Playboy's multimedia program devoted to the well-endowed women is based on one simple premise - size DOES matter! And Playboy certainly.. ahem .. "stacked" the deck with this program by bring in not only some of Playboy's most generous Playmates, but also with some of the well-endowed performers of the adult scene, and add to that a brief commentary by legendary "B-movie" director Russ Meyer on why such beautiful women have interested him.

Voluptuous Vixens is based on the two Playboy videos of the same name (Voluptuous Vixens and Voluptuous Vixens II), and clearly all of the Quicktime segments have come from either of the two videos. But many of the pictures in the photo gallery are unpublished exclusives, including many new images of Playmates Carrie Westcott, Shae Marks, Melissa Holliday, Carrie Stevens, Kimber West, Jami Ferrell, and 1996 Playmate of the Year Stacy Sanchez.

Playboy clearly learned from the errors of their Babes of Baywatch program by speeding the transition of their presentation between pages. They also hid their Mac-type interface from everything except their control options, making the overall presentation pleasing to the eye and easy to use, although they could've made the screen button for the control panel a little easier to find.

All in all, Voluptuous Vixens is indeed the best work so far for a computer program from Playboy.
