Our 3 Aussie (Australians) friends, on their way to South America's Tierra del Fuego. Pete having been there two years ago, they were all ears whenever we happened to be camped together.This  was to happen  regularly since I loaned them the copy of Clement Salvadori's book "Motorcycle Journeys  through Baja". We  first met them on the coldest night of the trip at Mike's Sky Ranch, 25 miles (40 km) or so from Mex. # 3 at mile 84 (140 km) from Ensenada on the way to San Felipe. Because of the altitude and desert condition, it went well below freezing to 25 Farenheight.. We had ice on the seats and on the tent canopy the next morning. Welcome to Baja's tropical  temperature, sorry guys,not in late Nov. in the mountains.
