The missing mountain road,  was a good test  of our moral. Around every corner,  there seemed to be  a new challenge awaiting. Regardless of how tired and dehydrated we were becoming, we simply had to find the best or easiest way  to get around, over, or down into each of the  numerous obstacles thrown at us. It could only be done one section at the time, trying not to to use up whatever energy we had left.

Here Pete is clearing the way down. Photos do not, show steepness very well. This was a very difficult descent on loose surface, with a nice deep and wide sandwash crossind waiting at the bottom. Yahooooo !
