| NEW-BELGRADE TRANSPORTATION HUB Urban
Design: Etienne Coutu & Matias Clutterbuck In 2002, Serbia comes out of a 10 years embargo, and of long sequence of wars and violence. They need a way to pick-up development to fastly recover their lateness with the other european countries. Our project outlined the importance of bringing fast-speed train infrastructure to the center of New-Belgrade, a 1950's utopic corbusean addition to the old city, in order to catch-up with other european cities while connecting to them. This transportation hub would connect regional cities through the bus network, major european cities and the old city center altogether. This would also bring commercial activities and office space to come and give another boost to the 50's unfinished project. The triangle shaped megastructure would integrate all mixed-functions under a gigantic green roof boiling with park activities. It's an experimentation for 3D urbanism, with open-air public spaces floating through, connecting adjacent residential developments. |

TERMINUS CENTRAL DE NOVI-BEOGRAD Design
Urbain: Etienne Coutu et Matias Clutterbuck En 2002, la Serbie sort de 10 ans d'embargo, et d'une longue séquence de violence, de guerres. Ils ont besoin d'un moyen de développement rapide pour rattrapper leur retard sur les autres pays européens. Notre projet a souligné l'importance d'amener une infrastructure de train à grande-vitesse (TGV) au centre de Novi-Beograd, une addition corbuséenne utopique des années 50 à la vieille ville, pour permettre un rattrapage et un rapprochement aux autres villes européennes. Ce terminus central lierait les villes régionales par le réseau d'autobus, les villes européens majeurs et la vieille ville. Ceci amènerait également des activitées commerciales et des bureaux pour venir donner un second souffle au projet inachevé des années 50. La megastructure de forme triangulaire intégrerait ces fonctions mixtes sous un toit vert gigantesque bouillonnant d'activités de parc. C'est l'expérimentation d'un urbanisme tridimensionnel, traversé d'espaces publiques extérieurs, rejoignant les développements résidentiels adjacents. |
