                          VISITING
                    by Francisco Charrua

                         Scene VIII

They eat and they argue, like they do every day at supper
time. Everett complains about his lack of success with
Monet. Reaching for the vegetables, Jubilee casually informs
her colleague that he may be putting himself under way too
much pressure. Emma finishes her pasta, and while glancing
sideways at Jubilee, wipes the corner of her mouth with her
napkin. As Angelo lectures Mondo on the virtues of belonging
to a clan, the rest of the team exchanges subtle remarks on
the likelihood of having the wall repaired by the end of the
day.

Emma: "Oh stop complaining! You can all trust me on this
one. By tomorrow morning we'll have the wall fixed."

Sean continues eating, oblivious to his students' attempts
to comprehend the current situation. Paige politely points
out the difficulty of getting a carpenter at that time of
the day, and on such short notice. Angelo mentions that the
job would take a day or two to complete. Jonothon asks
everyone if the XMen will be dropping by to help out.

Emma: "You're getting warm..."

Angelo: "Mrs Frost, for how many more nights will you be
requiring my..."

Emma: "Ahem..."

As usual, Mondo offers to help out with the dishes. Jubilee
clenches her fists and bites her lip. Everett and Paige roll
their eyes over. Angelo just sighs. They wonder how many
years it will take for their teammate to stop acting like
the exchange student from hell. Amused, Emma looks at the
assembly line that her students have formed around the
kitchen sink. She checks her watch and tells them she will
be taking care of the dishes herself. There is something she
wants to show them.

                          Scene IX

Angelo contentedly slurps away at his lemonade. Turning his
head slightly to his left, he verifies that Monet is still
there. He contemplates the dark blue sky and takes another
sip of his drink. Life is good. If for the past few days,
looking after her has brought him nothing but grief , this
makes up for it. First there is the joy of knowing that
tomorrow he will be enjoying the comforts of a relatively
more windproof room. And then there the profound
satisfaction that one gets from watching other people work
hard.

Everett: "Hey Angelo, is THAT what you've been complaining
about for the past four days?"

Jubilee: "Yea! Like he's saying, try not to work too hard!"

Emma: {Guys... Less complaining and more working.}

After one hour of labor, the kids accomplish what would have
taken a small team of carpenters a whole day. With the
stainless steel body that Emma helped her husk into, Paige
works on repairing the wall infrastructure. Mondo uses his
power to absorb bricks and take them to Jubilee, who is
still complaining.

Sean: "I'm sorry lass, but I cannae see any use for yer
pyrotechnics. Maybe when Paige finishes, she might lend ye a
hand with the brick layin. "

Everyone turns the other way as Everett uses Mondo's power
to prepare the last batch of cement. At half past midnight,
Jubilee is using her power to illuminate the work area.
Mondo and Paige are finishing off the job with their newly
developed speed brick laying technique. Once again, Sean
asks Emma if this was really necessary.

Emma: "Sean, they have to learn how to live with powers. And
when I say live, I mean it with a capital L."

                          Scene X

8:00 AM

Sean: "Good morning lads!"

Jubilee, Everett, and Paige: "Good... *mumble mumble*...
morning ... *mumble*..."

Jonothon: {Top of the morning to you, sir.}

Mondo: "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..."

Angelo: "Buenos dias Senor Cassidy!"

Jubilee (to Paige): "What's wrong with _him_?"

Paige: "Zzzzz... !? What, time to go?"

Sean: "Nice to see ye all awake and ready to continue our
discussion on Macbeth. So Angelo, after hearing what Monet
had to say last week, what's yer view on the fellow?"

Angelo: "I... I don't think I understand all that
dimensional portal stuff. I..."

Jubilee: "*Yaun*... Then birdbrain, do like the rest of us
and pretend ya didn't hear a word she said."

Sean: "Although the lass is partially correct, I'd
appreciate it if she stopped trashing Monet for her
abilities."

Jubilee: "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..."

Sean: "*sigh*"

Angelo: "Senor Cassidy, what do you mean when you say
Jubilee's partially right?"

Sean: "I mean she's right in saying that ye should voice yer
opinion regardless of how complicated other arguments may
seem. So, unless ye didn't read the play like you were
supposed , tell us what ye thought."

Angelo: "Well, this Macbeth character... A complete fool."

Angelo: "..."

Sean: "That's... Good..."

Angelo: "Gracias"

Sean: "So Mondo, what do ye think?"

Mondo: "Zzzzzzzzzzzz..."

Sean: "Mondo?"

Everett: "I'm sorry Mr C, but he's really out of it."

Sean: "MONDO!!!"

Mondo: "Zzzz.. Drowning!!! ...oops..."

Sean: "Good morning Mr Mondo, please tell us what ye thought
about the main character in the play Macbeth. But before
that, Angelo, could ye update the lad on yer views?"

Angelo: "I thought Macbeth was like... a complete tonto."

Mondo: "I think that if he really believed those witches, he
wouldn't have killed the king in the first place. Macbeth is
an example of how worrying too much can be hazardous to your
health."

8:15 AM

Paige: "I really felt sorry for him."

Paige: "..."

Sean: "What about Jubilee, what does she think?"

Jubilee: "Jubilee agrees with Skin, the guy was a major
dunce."

Sean: "It's nice to see that ye all have such negative
opinions on the fellow. But like Jubilee herself would put
it- Duh, like... It _is_ a tragedy."

Jubilee: "I would say THAT?"

Sean: "All tragedies are about the demise of individuals
because of certain flaws in their characters. I would like
ye to try and pinpoint these flaws."

Classroom: "..."

Jonothon (raising his hand): {I...}

Sean: "Yes Chamber?"

Jonothon: {I found that in most of the important decisions
Macbeth made, he let his pride get the most of him.}

Sean: "Paige?"

Paige: "Ah don't agree. Being human was the onleh flaw
Macbeth had. He did things like succumb to pressure and
acted on information that mislead him. Things that we all
do."

Jubilee: "Yea, except his timing really sucked."

Sean: "What about you Ev..."

Everyone stops as footsteps are heard coming from hallway.
Someone walks towards the classroom. The door opens.

?????: "Macbeth was a small person living in the body of a
strong, important man. He let the elements around him
dictate his actions. Predictions, protocols, and the notion
of honor."

Sean: "Monet!?"

Monet: "In the flesh."

Sean: "Quick Camber, call Emma!"
