Guérard - Artist
Although born in Montreal, this artist has been established in the town of St-Norbert in the Lanaudière region for about twenty years now.
Always attracted by the visual arts, she chose acrylics as a means of expression.
Her work is the result of personal research and a constant observation of nature.
In a contemporary realistic style, her canvases reflect a feeling of peace and the simple enjoyments of everyday life.
The varied subjects give a glimpse of the picturesque landscape of Lanaudière's beautiful region, or, somewhere else chosen among the most beautiful places, such as the parks and gardens she loves to show us.
The subtlety of the bow and the harmony of colors reveal sweetness and a rare sensitivity.
In a suggested atmosphere, details lure us back to the heart of the subject and bring it to life so realistically as to bring us in direct contact with nature and life.
The light and the concern for detail are present throughout her paintings.
Micheline has also participated in many group exhibitions such as:
- The Outaouais Festival of Painting
- The Drummondville arts Symposium
- The Mascouche Festival of Painting
- The Brandon Festival of the Colours, in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon
- The Hands of our Artists of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon
- The Maison Antoine-Lacombe
- The 150-th anniversary village fair of her town.
In 1996, she received the Bronze palette at the Maison Antoine-Lacombe within the framework of the exhibition “The Painters of Sunday ". In 1997, she received a mention by the jury in the Outaouais Festival of Painting.
