Quake 3 Arena
I know this is not hot off the presses, but I only
recently played this. It so rocks! The regular single player game is designed in
the style of a deathmatch. No more wandering around the levels killing off
wimpy little enemies. The "free for all "is exactly that. You and all the
computer opponets are killing everything that moves. I am not sure if I
am just not very good at it, but the computer players in this game are much
more challenging. The developers seem to have tried there best to cater
to the needs of the online gamers. They have even thrown in the capture
the flag mod for single player mode. Also, the animation is amazing. Maybe
I am still in awe over the new 3D card, but I have never seen anything like
this. If you have not tried it, you so have to!

FYI:
Unzip these files into the "Quake III Arena \ Baseq3" directory.
It is also suggested that you create the following directory, "model \players
\ modelname" in your Baseq3 directory.
Winzip (or other similar programs) can open *.pk3 files, so if you get stuck
you can look in there for help.

Okay. It appears everything is back under control. It tooke me a little
while to find some of the models after I lost them from formatting my computer.
They are all back up and running (to the best of my knowledge). Please
let me know if they go down again, email
me. Once I get Quake 3 up and running again, I will be updating this
page.

downloading any of these, or they are too slow, try
