Josée Perreault
Resumé

Josée Perreault attained a bachelor's degree
in Graphic Design at L'Université du Québec, in Montréal.
Starting out as a free-lance illustrator, her experience and success
led her to establish her own studio in illustrative and
graphic design in Montréal.

Won over by the watercolor medium, she began in 1988 to devote
more and more of her time to deepen her experience of that
technique into her personal work. She left the city and
moved to the country to benefit from a more natural
inspiring setting which has become her main source of
inspiration, giving a strong impression of magic in her paintings.

Her personnal approach to the aquarelle medium has
developed into an exciting and unique artistic expression.

She has won several  distinctions including Fine Art grants from
the Ministère de la Culture du Québec and represented Canada
at the Biennal Exhibition of the Paris Fine Arts Society in France.

Her painting have been part of many exhibitions all over America
and are in demand among collectors.

As Josée states:     "Among all media, I chose watermedia,
especially watercolour.
Aquarelle is like poetry, because of its fluidity and
luminosity, it has no equal in its power to enchant,
to bring out dreams and touch the invisible.
Inspired by Nature, my aim is to give a strong impression
of magic in figurative paintings as well as
in abstract work."
