| My name is Larry Foley. From 1957 to 1960 I met many friends at the YMCA and YWCA and St.Georges in Lennoxville. I will never forget this era of rock'n'roll music. I have been retired for 6 years from Bell Canada and I'm looking forward to meet you next summer in Lennoxville. Anyone who wants to write can do it at : cioran@sympatico.ca _____________________________________________________________________ Peter Holt, formerly of Windsor Mills and SHS too, checking in from
Toronto island. Grateful to Roger & crew for the last SHS Reunion and looking forward
to meeting many old Tri-Y friends again. Is Phil Kerwin formerly of Stanstead? How
do I get a list of invitees? _____________________________________________________________________________ Skip(David) Wright I would also like to congratulate the committee for
the last reunion, we had a great time; it brought back alot of memories. However,
there was not alot of members from the AYPA in attendance. _____________________________________________________________________ Hello from Mark Steinman- class of '65! Was great to see the website and reunion
news, and to see some familiar names. I have been in Toronto for almost 30 years. _____________________________________________________________________ Steve Begbie Hi folks! Another SHS survivor is alive and
well and living in ______________________________________________________________________ David Sinclair Looking forward to seeing some of the old gang in and around the 1st of July for what I suspect will be a wonderful event. I would interested to know if folks like: Ken Black, Judy Wood, Molly Brown, Brian Robson, Jill Perkins, Mike Marshall, who went to SHS between 1960 and 1964, would be attending. I would also be interested if Sammy Elkas who was one of the Hi-Y mentor's or Jim MacKinnon (SHS coach) would be attending. Sammy and Jim were friend's of mine back then and they were very supportive and encouraged me to pursue a business career. I was Hi-Y Vice-President in 1962 and Hi-Y President in 1964 and was also the disc-jockey for a lot of the Saturday night dances at the YMCA which used to be on Dufferin Street. I left Sherbrooke in 1964 to make my mark on the world, but only got as far as Toronto (Mississauga), having spent over 30 years in the Telecommunications industry. I am currently teaching Microsoft Office and other high level desktop software applications to a number of corporate clients in the Greater Toronto Area and to the public at large through my company SCCS (Sinclair Communications Consulting Services). See you on the Canada Day!! dsinclair7951@home.com Voice Mail/Fax: 905-848-7951 Mississauga, ON, L5A 2H5
_______________________________________________________________________________ Sue Hogan (Bennett) The last reunion was excellent it was wonderful to be
able to see so many old friends from Mitchell, SHS, St. Pats & MND. I have been
looking for Kathy Richardson-Smith for the past few years and would be greatful to anybody
who could tell me how I might contact her. I am alive and well in Ottawa now, via
Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto. Hoping to be able to arrange to get to Sherbrooke
this time as well. ______________________________________________________________________ Pat Lynch Gorman To all the folks who dedicated a great deal of time to organizing the REUNION 2000 ..... many, many thanks. And the next time I go to one of those reunions, I will not wear a name tag with my name on it , but one that says YES, NED LYNCH IS MY BROTHER! I wish he had been able to attend. Again, many thanks to everyone. You should all be proud of the work you have done. plg@catlover.com _______________________________________________________________________________ Thanks from Steve Begbie I would also like to thank the organizing committee
for a wonderful reunion. For those of us who have moved away from the Sher-Lenn area
its a great opportunity to see some old friends and make some new acquaintances.
Holding the reunion at Bishop's and staying in residence allowed us another few minutes
each day to shoot the breeze. I would encourage more people to attend as the
Townshippers are a really nice bunch of people and for most of us school, sports and
dances (in whatever order you prefer) were a big part of our early years. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Peter(Pete) Garland It was great to see old pals like Ray Battrey, Ian Murray and Mike Allatt at a recent reunion. I'm a 30 year broadcaster in London Ont (am980 morning show) Learned my chops on Jerry lee and Fats at Hi-Y dances 56-58. Spent 12 years in the RCAF after SHS before I realized how much I loved radio. I'm Rev. Garland's son ..St. Andrews Presbyterian is now a parking lot and the old Manse where I grew up on Portland Ave. is now" La Vieux Presbytere"..a nice B&B. Anybody know what happened to Judy Young? We were supposed to be celebrating our 40th anniversary this year. Drop a line Cheers Pete. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mark Franklin I just found out about this site after reconnecting with my old friend Alain Verlinden. I met up with his sister Claire who married Jim Currier last summer. I was good friends with both. I was in the last graduating class of 1969 having attended Mitchell from '61 to '64 and SHS from '64 to '69. After SHS I attended Bishop's for a B.A. and then my Education Diploma. I have been teaching school ever since. Most of my time has been spent on the Gaspé and live and work in New Carlisle [famous as the hometown of Réné Lévesque]. I work with John Williams and we often talk about Sherbrooke. Cheryl Kouri lives in New Richmond and passes on copies of the Sherbrooke Record. I always look at the Obits first! I was married for 25 years and separated in 2001. I am now one of the success stories of internet dating and am seeing a very special lady from Campbellton NB. I have no children of my own but brought up a nephew and he still considers my place "home". Retirement looks good in two or three years and I love to travel! Good to hear from Paul Trollope. My mother [RIP last January] used to kept in touch with his mother. It is good to keep in touch.
