ADD TO the CONTRACT of 1684

" And amendment the twenty - fourth January day thousand six hundred eighty-eight morning, is appeared in front of Notary Louis Ango de Maizeret, archidiacre Vicargeneral of  bishop, who said and declared that he knows and remembers that the intention of Lord bishop was to grant to the Mr. Lessart, with on top of honorary rights contained in the contract for donation above by him made in favour of Sainte-Anne's church, a bench in this church, to enjoy it he and his descendants directly in eternity by the elder son or one of them who would be a heir of the ground of Lessart ; for reason of which,  Mr. the Vicargeneral  recognizes and confesses to have granted lieu et place to Lessart a place in Sainte-Anne's church to build by him a bench at his expenses which will be and will occupy since the last back degree the choir until the stair of the pulpit of the clergyman, by leaving the necessary space to place in called pulpit a spiral staircase, to enjoy of this bench by  Lessart and the elder son of the descendants or the one that will be a heir of said ground to eternity and it without paying any thing by him or his descendants in this church."
