Awards Asimov has won
There are two main awards given annually to the best science-fiction authors:
Since 1953, the Hugo Award has been presented annually by the World Science-Fiction convention. Asimov has won seven Hugos:
- In 1963 for articles he wrote in the magazine Fantasy &
Science-Fiction
- In 1966 for the best all-time series (Foundation Trilogy)
- In 1973 for the novel The Gods Themselves
- In 1977 for his novelette The Bicentennial Man
- In 1983 for his novel Foundation's Edge
- In 1992 for his novelette Gold
- In 1995 for his auto-biography I, Asimov: a Memoir
Since 1965, the Science Fiction Writers of America have been giving out the
Nebula to the best authors of science-fiction. Asimov has won two Nebulas:
- In 1972 for his novel The Gods Themselves
- In 1976 for his novelette The Bicentennial Man
