Picture #7: Here the new painted pipes (flex and resonator).
Price for the flex is $120 cnd and $254 cnd, both at the dealer (oct 2003). They are made by "Ronal" in the UK. |
Picture #8: If you want, put some sealer on the connecting ends. Don't put the engine gasket type like I did. Take the high temp. exhaust type. Permatex has one that withstand up to 2000 F. So, for about a week and a half, there was a strange smell coming from my car. I realised then that I had put the wrong type of sealer. |

| Picture #9: Put the resonator first in place and then the flex pipe. |
Picture #10: While installing the flex pipe it will be a good idea to support the resonator end with a jack or something else because when you are going to put the catalytic converter side clamp, you have to hold the pipe, the clamp and screw the bolt on. Possible with two hands like I did but why not to try to make it easier? |

| Picture #11: Put all the clamps first but don't tighten them all the way, make sure you can turn the pipes. When everything is align, then tighten the bolts all the way. |
Picture #12: Here the old pipes. It wasn't a luxury to change them. |
