Repairing the remote
Symptoms: - Remote work half the time if not at all.
- If it work, it takes many try.
- You are standing for up to 30 seconds, if not more, beside your car
trying to unlock the doors.
- Your blood pressure is rising rapidly.
- Your are swearing and shouting.
- You want to break a world record while throwing your remote.
The first thing to do is to open the battery compartment and clean the inside. There is a lot of dust accumulating there. Clean also the battery contact.

If it doesn't work, try a new set of battery.

If that doesn't work, then follow the procedure below.

Just to let you know that I had done this repair almost a year ago and the pictures taken are a repeat. The remote has been working since every time.

Picture #1: This is the remote I have. Picture #2: First, remove the key ring.
Picture #3: Take a small screwdriver or a knife and open the battery compartment. You can use a small blade and use it on the inside of the key hole (thanks Dean!) Picture #4: There's a lot of dust in the remote, so clean the inside.
