Touristic attractions from Québec city area |
You can take a walk to visit the St-Jean village declared Quebecquers'historical site between the Mauvide-Genest Manor and the St-Jean's Church. You will find in our village the oldest houses in North America. There is also a public swimming pool next to the restaurant by the beach. You can visit many art galleries and handcrafts'boutiques.
The island is an exceptional panoramic site for bike rides. Many rental bike shops are available.
At less than 10 minutes from the Bed and Breakfast, you can find the St-Laurent Golf Club on the island. If you are staying overnight on the island, you are from 30 to 45 minutes away from many important ski resorts and golf clubs such as Mont Saint-Anne, Stoneham and Le Relais.
You can admire the south part of the St-Lawrence where large boats pass by regularly coming from the sea. St-Jean also has a large dock where you can observe the water tides. When the tide is low, you can walk on the shore.
Many museums are located all around the island (the Blacksmith Museum, the Handcrafts Museum, etc.).
We are located within 30 minutes to 1 hour drive from the Montmorency Falls (day hike, rock and ice climbing), the Jacques-Cartier Park (camping, rafting, and kayak), the Village vacances Valcartier outdoor centre (waterslides and winter playground) and from downtown Québec city (patios, boutiques and historical sites).
