habit

its thursday. this means two things:

its survivor night!!! woowoo!
and
its been a whole week since ive updated. yowza.

its been a super turbo splendid week though.

it included seeing a flick with my dad over the weekend--knockaround guys. so much for my no vin diesel clause.

also: hanging out with kelcey and kathy and jason from my old job and stuffing ourselves with chinese food and making fun of each other and having some drinks and playing trivial pursuit.

also: getting surprise news from socks that he was coming to visit...as in was already on the road here. it had been two years. i cant even tell you how much fun it was to play with him...id been asking (ok nagging) him to visit practically the entire two years but i had forgotten just how fun it is to be together...and it didnt feel like two years for one second. it felt like two weeks, if that. it was great, except for watching him be so allergic to my kitties. i didnt have time to de-cat-ify the place, so we spent alot of time not here...as in very early outings. it was happy times. he shopped and we ate and a grand time was had by all. me hopeth he maketh a return shortly.

watching a friend suffer due to kitty hair led me to the purchase of my new favoritest purchase ever: the shark vaccuum cleaner. you dont understand. i have become obsessive about it...i love it a little too much. it makes such a huge difference...the whole place looks so much sharper and less shabby without furballs here and there, and dust everywhere. it rules. life is much improved.

lets see. what else. im currently online stalling before going to the gym so that i wont have the pizza delivery timing problems i usually have thursday nights. i come home from the gym rather ravenous, so want to order right away, but dont want it here before friends/survivor. riveting, i know. especially since i think i already wrote about this.

BIG exciting pearl jam news gots me all giddy....especially since i done heard the single cuz joe brought it with him. i LOVE both songs...ed added a sweet grunt to i am mine that totally makes the song, and the b-side, down...makes me want to dance. so now im getting more in the spirit of things. pearl jam will officially be on letterman november 14th and 15th...but the tapings for both those shows will be on the 14th....letterman doesnt tape on fridays. so the rumor (and its getting to be a bit more than a rumor) is that pj will be playing a small club show on november 15th in nyc, at the irving plaza, and to get tickets you have to win them on the radio (royal shaft for moi). SO. pearl jam at a small club? YES PLEASE!!! fucking hell....i gotta get me a short wave radio. or pay socks to listen and dial. because if they get into the wrong hands (which of course they will) they will be a fortune...scalpers or ebay or whatever. i want in that show.

there was also a rumor that pj could be the music guest on the nov 16 saturday night live being hosted by adam sandler....but i just saw on some website that sandler IS the musical guest as well as the host. what up with that? anyway...it would almost be too much tv goodness to have them on. plus id have to spend a week in nyc--$$$. but that irving plaza show. oh please oh sweet music karma gods. please please please. im begging and the thing hasnt even been announced.

woo. now im all wound up discussing that stuff.

ive got a bitch of a stiff neck.

oh! so theres a sunglass hut where i work and they have a promotion for certain nearby employees to get 50% off...suh-weet. i love the guy who works there, especially now since he offered it to me...and i went in today and tried on two pairs. one was anne klein and the other...ralph lauren?...hmm..maybe i should post them online and see what you guys think. i'll get the model numbers tomorrow...y'all can help out.
