THINGS THAT ARE GOOD:

!!!! pearl jam performing save you on letterman after the real president does a surprisingly good job of passing what is usually unbearably slow time. holy fucking christ (or kcuffing christ) did they rock the roof off the dump, to quote dave...who also said 'now we're getting somewhere' when they were done. its the best to hear them and see them exploding with the energy of new material...jeff looked ready to combust and it was just awesome. and maybe the chia-ed look is a sign that he is gonna let it get a bit long again. let it be so.

@@ the album known as riot act. i am loving this music from a to z. it is so pearl jam, but also has hints of lots of 80s stuff in there kind of....its just really good shit. pick it up and tell me im wrong. there isnt a song on there that i dont like. not one. and most of them i am coming to love. crazy. they are just the best band. love em.

### cari and jace are officially in town. i finally get to meet the first second generation of me and my insane friends. what a treat. i cannot wait.

$$$$ tomorrow me and joel and perhaps his 'accountant' will head out to albany to see the other ones. unless they try to fingerprint me at the border. homie dont play that. anyway, it'll be my first time hearing these songs live in practically...well i suck at chronology. in ALOT of years, lets just say. weather looks good for the drive, and we're holiday-inning it so as to avoid crazy late night driving and both these things are a load off my mind. swell.

%%% vanessa at work says she is into seeing ani in ottawa, even with the cost of the car rental. this is good because anita just told me she cant swing it much as she'd like to....so hopefully the shit aint sold out.


THINGS THAT ARE SO NOT GOOD:

^^^ still being in a mood because of not speaking to two people you just cant pretend dont matter. worse, being so good at pretending to be fine that you are twice as exhausted and aggravated than just the amount of working 9 days in a row. not talking to someone is so much harder than actually fighting, to me. and yet, i dont want to talk to them. but i do wish things were just fine. ah life, you grand bastard.

&&& ken getting kicked off survivor. what the kcuf!? he was my pick to win, and a dreamboat to boot. and he was FINALLY getting in the habit of shirt removal. goddam stupid merge.

*** eating a bunch of doritos that friend from work brings over, only to read the ingredients after they leave to find out that lovely beef stock is an ingredient. thanks, fuckin doritos. just felt totally beefariffic after that. nauseated, to quote lionel ritchie, all night long. (all night). (all night).

((( being reminded of how totally jealous you are of everyone going to see pearl jam in december in seattle. man, the performance tonight was hot. i CANNOT wait for tour. to see me in front of the tv...im sure many of you can relate. and if i shared with those of you who cant youd be liable to have me committed, so forget it. =)

))) getting fucked by the gym in two different ways. i checked my bank statement and noticed that they debited my account not once but FOUR times for november. so i brought it to their attention and they are all dumbfounded and clueless. but its a big reputable gym so im not worried, i know i'll get my money back. its just annoying that it had to happen in the first place. also...yesterday on the treadmill after i jogged/ran my mile (which i can do comfortably now, in about 10 minutes) i slowed it and walked at a big incline, and not long into that my right knee started clicking and popping and feeling really yucky. so i got rid of the incline, and it went away....but all day today its felt weird and numb and yucky and creepy. so i didnt work out today, and im not going to tomorrow, and hopefully that rest will let it heal and whatever it is will go away. because i dont need no fuckin knee problems, no thank you.

____having a really cute, happy, positive, friendly, strong looking guy by himself come sit in your section and be all chatty with you...who turns out to be a pro hockey player for a team you never heard of....who comes back the next day to sit in your section again, this time with a friend...i mean, the guy was the best. just had hernia surgery but was still all smiles and even tho he just basically lost the season he wasnt mopey or down in any way, just said 'what am i gonna do?' such a great attitude making him all the more attractive...and even tho he holds your arm for a sec as he leaves after the first day...the second day the fuckin wedding ring makes an appearance and tho it was great to make his acquaintance, once again all hope of meeting someone who could make life a bit more interesting is dashed. suckatola.

uh oh...thats six bad and only five good. i better leave it at that before the seesaw is sucked down into hellish negativity. besides,i got to see pearl jam tonight and am still feeling high from it, so why dwell in the depths. whats that pesky friday five got to offer me tonight? ha, nothing. seems to be on hiatus this week. just as well...im feelin quite the exhausto and have a big fun day ahead of me tomorrow. road trip! hotel stay! a show!

so thats that. my comments about the album will have to wait for another time...but i do hear the smiths, prince, sonic youth, john cougar, and the reference to porch is wicked, and the 'tower of strength's in you are totally bring the mission's tower of strength to mind and i totally forgot about that song and as my friend j said about riot act: pearl jam go 80s news at 11. =))))
