Mortimer
They were good pals at St George Monoux School in Walthamstow,
London and shared many interests between them. Tony used to hang around
with John and Brian with Terry. Inspired by soul, R&B, and pop, Tony
gathered his best mates and decided to put out demo tapes. 
,
as a musical form, was born after Tom Watkins (the man who helped
Bros and the Pet Shop Boys launch their early careers) listened to their
demo tapes. signed
their record contract with London Records label on April Fool's day 1992
and their first single, House Of Love, came out in august 1992.
A top 10 UK hit with no less that 600 000 copies sold, took
Europe by storm and House Of Love was number one in Israel, Suede,
and Finland, and top 10 in many European countries.
