Attaching The Back

Like what I made for the soundboard, I made notches in the kerfed linings to accept the ends of the bracing located on the inside face of the back of the guitar. This is why it is necessary to thin the end of the bracing located on the back. This is valid for the soundboard bracing as well as for the back bracing. It took me a few hours before being satisfied with the notches I made in the kerfed linings. Thereafter, I glued the back of the guitar by using the same method used by violin makers.
