This Canadian Pan Ring is based in Montreal and was started in September of 1998 by Salah Wilson. Salah is the musical director of Salah and Family Steelpan Music Academy and president of Salahpan.

The idea for the Web Ring is to generate more interest and information in the Steelpan Industry nationally in Canada, and also to provide a window to the International Steelpan Industry as a whole.

Anyone with a Web page/site that has related material regarding the steelpan, is invited to participate. Wherever your are from on the planet, please feel welcome. We particularly encourage participants from Canada.

The concept of networking is beneficial to everyone. Here you can link up with other individuals or groups from all over the world; connect with old friends, meet new people, find more pan rings, advertise your pan business, or simply establish a forum for some ‘Ole Pan Talk’.

It is very simple to join the Web Ring. There are a few steps necessary to become an active participant, just follow the instructions below and the rest will be easy. Remember you do not have to be a pan player to participate; you should however have some related steelpan material.

TO JOIN THE RING
To include your page/site in the Canadian Pan Ring please do the following:

1. Fill out and submit the form.
2. After your submission:
   1. You will be sent to the ring-site server; which will show you the HTML link code you need to insert into your page in order to join the ring. You can get your HTML link code now.
   2. Simultaneously; an e-mail is sent back to you, from the ring-site server, so you have a permanent copy of your pass word and data.. The e-mail will contain all the same HTML link code.
   3. When you are ready; Copy and Paste the HTML link code into your page, and submit your now updated page to your website.
3. The ringmaster will visit your page on the web to make sure that you have correctly placed your HTML link code; then your page will be activated as part of the Canadian Pan Ring; if all is correct. If there’s a problem, the ringmaster will get back to you by e-mail to help sort it out.
