Educational Reform The Ministry of Education has developed a new curriculum for all Quebec Schools which will be implemented over the next 3 years in ALL elementary schools. The current 6 grades will be replaced by 3 two year cycles. The staff at our school has already attended several sessions to help us prepare for the new reform. The schools will move from a teacher centered to a 'contructivist' learning environment where students learn by doing. In September 2000 this section of our web site will post student work and projects. You will be able to view the student work by simply clicking on the cycle icons on the side of this page. Grade 6 students are responsible for maintaining and updating this section of our web site. |
