diesel generator and the Sambrabec system can both answer the energy demand within their
respective characteristics. There is a
big difference in the way to determine each system capacity :
· the diesel generator must be
dimensioned to meet peak consumption, all excess power produced (and not
consumed) is wasted, signifying extra costs ;
· 
the Sambrabec system is dimensioned in relation with the mean of
the consumption cycle and meet peak energy request via the use of the
batteries.
