Welcome to the VPGRacing WEB site.
This site is dedicated to covering remote control car
racing at Matrox. We race 1/10 scale remote control sedans during our lunch
brake. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what this is all about. CLICK

This gives you an idea of what our track looks
like
The little black rectangles
on the ground are pieces of rubber mats that we cut into pieces. These are
actually pretty good for track markers since it takes about 3-5 minutes to
layout the track and we never break our cars hitting any barriers.
Above is a picture of some of us. From left we have
Steve and his Losi StreetWeapon, Anthony and Jean with their Ofna Z-10, Dan with
his Associated TC3 and Finally Francois with his Ofna Z-10.
Below are a collection of
pictures of a typical lunch break racing session. You will notice that our track
is setup on a hockey rink. The asphalt is 2 years old but since it has never
seen regular traffic use, it's like brand new and absolutely flat.
Below is what a traffic jam looks like on our
track. Talk about close racing.

Here is what happens when two cars decide to
follow the same line through the hairpin.

During and after the impact.
Now we can take a closer
look at the cars we drive. The are 1/10 scale remote control car. They weight in
at about 1.5Kg. The go between 35-50Kph. The are ALL WHEEL drive vehicles, often
referred to as 4WD. The have independent suspension on all corners. The have
front and back differentials and are very adjustable/tunable. You can adjust
TOE-IN, CASTER, CAMBER, SUSPENSION DAMPING to name just a few. These are full
fledge RACING MACHINES. We currently have 3 different models of cars racing at
VPGRacing.

That's it for now.
