T-shirts - Saturday, March 6th 2004

So Artivistic's reached the end.... or did it? If you want an Artivistic anti logo t-shirt (we still have a few left), email us. Orange for guys, white or yellow for girls. Most sizes (s, m, l) still left for the orange or white t-shirts.

Artivistic does not end here at all. Want to be on our MAILING LIST? Want to know or be part of our next intervention (or one of our allies')? Email us.

Program Up - Wednesday, February 25th 2004

For a few days now, (part) of the program has been up on the website. Just thought I'd make it more official by mentioning it here. We still need to get the artists exhibiting in the game (very soon!) in terms of descriptions, and possibly other speakers.

Artwork Transportation - Saturday, February 21th 2004

Here is what we agreed upon as strategies to get your artwork to the Artivistic site as well as to share the exhibit space.

Transportation

Wednesday FEB 25th, during the day, will be reserved for picking up artwork that cannot be transported in any other way than by van. We will go to your studio/home to get your work and bring it to the Artivistic site, 3475 Peel. Please plan plastic or fabric wraps or some kind of protection for your various pieces.

You must sign up before FEB 23rd so we can schedule our little tour (monday and tuesday prior). Please provide:

  • your address
  • some directions
  • period of the day you are able to be present (before 5PM)
  • phone number

  • Exhibit is from March 2nd to 4th. Ideally, we will be returning your pieces to your residences on March 5th.

    Exhibit space sharing

We have decided to go by a collective space sharing. On the same Wednesday FEB 25th, at 6PM will be a meeting of all artists involved in the multidisciplinary art exhibit. Everyone should plan in order to attend, for obvious reasons.

This will be pretty informal and hopefully more democratic way to go about. It's also to help out artists who have many pieces and want to pick some out. The works not exhibited will be stored in the basement of the building (under lock) until the 5th when we will be returning all the artwork to your studio/home.
    BRAINSTORMING session - Monday, February 9th 2004

    Date: Thursday, February 12th, 2004
    Time: 6 PM - ...
Location: 3475 Peel (Cultural Studies Building), métro Peel, passed Sherbrooke W. Street

What the hell is a brainstorming session?
This is an excellent chance for you to express your own ideas (and for them to be heard) and contribute in really shaping this event. Organisers, participants and other allies, all will be contributing to the discussion (within a relaxed and informal atmosphere).

    And what is it for?
Artivistic is the property of its participants as much as it is of its organisers. The event is profoundly based on collective effort and cooperation. We are all part of this initiative; feel free to consider it as your own.

Sign up here ! (before 11 AM Thursday please, this is to help us plan space/food/drink)
    Artist/Lecturer statement - Friday, February 6th 2004

Please note that your artist/lecturer statement should be under 300 words (instead of 500).

Sorry if it causes an inconvenience.
