Spark plug and Wire install

The first thing is to remove the Coil Pack Covers.
Then remove the Air Pipe on the driver side. Disconnecting the Brake booster vacuum hose also helps.

The first thing peoples complains is the difficulty to remove the spark plug wire. I disconnect the wire from the coil pack first. Then I grab the boot and turn it a full turn. Then I pull on the boot. That was actually easy on my 1997 C5 but I had to fight and use pliers on the 2002 Z06.

Then I remove the spark plug. I put back the old spark plug in the boxes of the new plug. I mark the cylinder position number of the old plug on the box. If I see that a spark plug does not have the appropriate color, I can see from in what cylinder it was installed.

Eveybody says that there is no room for Cylinder #7. Rear Driver. But As you can see, by removing the air tube and booster vacuum hose, that gives enough room to use the torque wrench and torque at 11 lbs.

Once plug are installed, I install the wire. I use dielectric grease.
